“Twilight” Mom Elizabeth Reaser Says “She Doesn’t Relate to Esme”

MTV.com had a chance to catch up with the momma bear of the vamp camp, Elizabeth Reaser. Elizabeth sounds off on the ever popular Twilight memorabilia, how she is nothing like her character Esme Cullen, and how she feels that Bryce Dallas Howard would’ve been better suited for the role of Esme.

伊麗莎白曾在流行的Twilight紀錄上高談闊論，她怎樣的不像她的角色艾思蜜庫倫，並且她如何感覺Bryce Dallas Howard會比她更適合演艾思蜜這個角色。

MTV: As the “Saga” continues filming, do you feel like you’re growing into your character more or less?

MTV：對於傳說延長拍攝，你覺得你像不像你演的角色？

Reaser: No, I feel like I’m nothing like my character. It’s interesting to me that I get cast as mothers and really maternal, sweet, nice people. … Maybe I have a vulnerability or something; maybe that’s what it is. But other than that, I don’t relate to this type of character. She’s so good and lovely, and it definitely makes me [a better person]. When I’m working, and I’m always trying to see people in their best light, it makes me a more generous person to play Esme, because I don’t feel that. It’s funny, but I think Bryce — who is playing Victoria, Bryce Dallas Howard — is the nicest, most amazing woman, and I feel like she should play Esme. I feel like she is Esme. She’s so lovely and beautiful and kind and good. I nominate her to play Esme Cullen.

瑞莎：不，我覺得我不像。我得到一個當媽媽的並且很有母愛、貼心又個性又好的角色對我來說真的很有趣。可能是因為我比較感性或其他的；但其他的來比較，我不像這類型的角色。她太好了又討人喜歡，而且這完全讓我變成一個更好的人。當我在工作時，我總是試著看人們容光煥發的，這讓我更大方的去飾演艾思蜜，因為我不是這樣感覺。這很有趣，但我想飾演第三集維多利亞的Bryce才是最好的，最神奇的女人，而且我覺得她應該要演艾思蜜才對。我覺得她才是艾思蜜。她既討人喜歡又漂亮又親切。我推薦她演艾思蜜庫倫。(飄：不過來不及了耶，第三集都拍完了)

With Twilight memorabilia being such a hot commodity right now  & halloween being just  a few days away, Reaser was asked about her own Twilight collection.

接著問她一些關於Twilight的珍藏

MTV: Do you own any “Twilight” memorabilia?

MTV：你在Twilight中有任何直得紀錄的事嗎？

Reaser: My mom bought some Esme bracelets. I’m sure I could borrow one from her if I wanted to. But I don’t have any memorabilia. I have my director’s chair [backing]. But I should get something, take something back from set — maybe I could get Rob to sign it.

瑞莎：我媽買一些艾思蜜的手鐲。我確定如果我想要的話，我能從她那裏借一個。但我沒有任何的手鐲可以用。我有我的導演椅子(被拿回去了)，但我應該要得到些什麼，從劇組那邊拿回些什麼才對。也許我能叫Rob簽約唷。

MTV: Vampires are one of the biggest costumes this Halloween, and there will be a lot of people dressed up as the “Twilight” characters this weekend.

MTV：吸血鬼在萬聖節當中是最多人用的服裝，而且將有一大堆人在這一週穿的像twilight中的角色唷。

Reaser: Really? Oh, that’s really cool. I didn’t know that.

瑞莎：真的嗎？噢，那真的很酷耶。我不知道有這件事。

MTV: What would it mean to you if you saw someone dressed as Esme?

MTV：那如果你看到有人穿的像艾思蜜，對你來說有什麼意義呢？

Reaser: Wow, I would love to see someone dressed up as Esme. I think that would be so cool. It would definitely be a career highlight for me; I would love to see someone do that.

瑞莎：哇，我很愛看到有人穿的像艾思蜜呢。我想那會很酷。這肯定會成為我生涯中最有趣的部分；我很喜歡看到有人做那件事情。
